Suggestion 1:Instead of using the OA level as barrier for what driver you can sign I would like to see the driver simply not being interested. Meaning you can´t sign the driver because the driver would lile to compete at a higher level and does not want to negotiate with you if above e.g. 110 in amateur. The same would then apply if relegated with driver above OA limit, then having a 'clause' that the driver can break the contract.Although only a visual change, still a change making it more realistic.Suggestion 2:Flexible driver values for drivers in the market. Meaning when you want to sign a new driver you do not know the exact levels of the driver but only approximate, e.g.

Concentration between 145-155 and so on. In rare occassion the level being completely different, e.g. 175 even if said as above. This would bring some flexibility to the drivers market. The OA should not anymore be visual until the driver has been signed still being flexible as with the levels. Each race the driver runs for the manager with make the levels more and more precise and after approx. 8 races you know the exact values.Maybe this could be combined with a new staff role or facility = scouting. The scout could then not completely but to some extent identify the levels more precise than if you have not scout. The same would of course apply to TD´s.(Group )Posts: 5414Country:Certified. ( Stipe Magdic @ September 16th 2015,13:12:17 )At the point when you extend you should be able to know the exact values of your driver as proposed after 8 races.

If you want to extend before knowing the exact values your driver might reject saying that they do not want to sign a new contract with you as proposed in suggestion 1 (if exceeding OA limits). After 8 races you can have no chance to extend the contract if you hire the driver being near the OV limit.(Group )Posts: 10928Country:Certified. posted Sep 16th 2015, 13:44:47 (last edited Sep 16th 2015, 13:45:47 by )Suggestion 1 would simply mean that less drivers are available to those in the lower leagues and thus increase prices and making availaibility less. Likewise there's a reason why osme people promote and then bring a driver back down with them so removing that removes part of long term driver planning.I don't see what Suggestion 2 brings to the game other than confusion and making it even more difficult to plan long term. If you don't know what your driver OA is when you sign him how can you actually put a training plan in place?I actually think that both ideas would simply create even more chaos in the driver market than currently exists now especially at Rookie and Ama levels.(Group )Posts: 5414Country:Certified. ( Alin Costrasuc @ September 16th 2015,13:41:33 )I like Stipe's idea. After all, you can't be 100% certain of attributes in real life, you can only estimate. Some footballers turned out to be flops after being signed.

And also, people at GPRO can't make use of their OA calculators. This game is too technical. Calculators for everything. That is actually also why I proposed this. Something you can´t calculate but simply have to accept. We today face a situation where everyone knows almost all about the game and have calculated almost all features to acceptable levels, especially successful teams. This balance the game some to not only be calculations.(Group )Posts: 5414Country:Certified.

I suppose I can understand that, although I don't think the current presentation is causing too many people grief.2) I think we get enough randomness generated via tyre peak temp, qualifying, driver training returns and racing incidents - I don't see a need to encourage it in yet more areas =(Group )Posts: 25Country:Certified. ( Max Watson @ September 16th 2015,16:36:31 )2) I think we get enough randomness generated via tyre peak temp, qualifying, driver training returns and racing incidents - I don't see a need to encourage it in yet more areas =I respect your thought, though I believe what might cause people being tired of the game is when you know it all. Seems many managers has reached a point where that actually almost is the case. Race becomes predictable and for a newcomer to actually climb becomes even more difficult.(Group )Posts: 14263Country:Certified. ( Mairo Toom @ September 16th 2015,16:46:12 )Would make things even worse for rookies (I mean rookies game-wise). They would spend loads of money offering contracts for higher OA drivers and still not get them.I think you've missed the point.

You still couldn't go for someone over the OA limit, but there would be a reason for it that relates to real life. Unless Max and I are reading it wrong, but even the OP said it was purely cosmetic lolCoupling it with suggestion 2 is where the problems occur, but not with the first one by itself.(Group )Posts: 12520Country:Certified. ( Stipe Magdic @ September 16th 2015,16:30:14 )Further the whole idea is that not even the Elite manager will be able to tell for sure what they are signing more than a qualified guess. With the flexible levels the rookie manager can actually be more fortunate. The game isn't about fortune, but about collecting data and planning. The driver is only a part of the package. Top manager will choose a driver with safer skills range, adapt the rest of package to it and still achieve his goals. But a newbie will have serious problems with such a data.(Group )Posts: 5012Country:Certified.

Which noone would like because they would have to 'earn' their achievements lol.On topic, Id hate to see people wasting time and money including compensations just because they didnt know what they were getting. Ive always left aites that start to hide and mislead what your stats are/might be. Nothing worse. Would make sense if the game wasnt as deep as it is and needed to add an element of risk so to speak but isnt required when youve already got 30 other things to worry about. Having certain known quantities is what helps newcomers to find the unknown. You start to make too many things 'secret' and new comers who want to 'do it themselves or for themselves' will be pushed away.(Group )Posts: 2227Country:Certified.
