I did a test there years and years and years ago. And failed, too.I'll tell you one thing: the highway portion is on hwy 174, which can be a PAIN to merge onto because the acceleration lanes on the onramps around Canotek are crazily short. If you have a decent car, it's fine, but. Beware. Also, unlike at Walkley, at least in those days, they didn't have a thingy at the back to practice parking, so you did your parallel parking on the street behind a real car. This may have changed - honestly, my test was in the first month or two after they moved to Canotek from Tremblay. Oct 15th, 2008 9:20 pmIf he does go on the 174, would they not go westbound from Montreal Road?

Less traffic than eastbound and much longer acceleration lanes.Going eastbound from Montreal Road - I hate that ramp - short, tight, narrow, buses galore. Good luck.In my experience (and this was in Fall 2003), I think they go both ways.

Get off at the next exit. Get off at the exit where you got on in the first place.Edit: Oops, I may have misunderstood your point. Westbound or Eastbound? I agree with you, going east to Blair Rd.

And coming back makes more sense. What's the exit west of Montreal Rd.?. I did my test there - it wasn't that bad I was really nervous. My test was years ago (maybe.2004? 2005?) and I passed first time.1) Arrive early! Especially 3pm on a friday.get there by 230.2) Make sure you check all the mirrors in your car before you move.

Actually adjust the rearview even if you dont need to - youll be marked on that (i was, at least!).3) Sticking with the mirror thing.make sure you check your rearview every 5 seconds or so. It's a pain in the ass, but make sure you're moving your neck to look, not just looking up - you need the person marking you to see you actually moving.4) You will have to jump on the 174. If there's lots of traffic you don't have to get up to 100km/h before you merge if it's not possible to safely do so. If there's space, you better be at 100 before you move over.5) Parallel parking. Yup, you do it on a side street. You'll be driving slowly along in a residential area and the instructor will tell you to park behind a car.

NOTE: make sure you put the car in park, parking brake on, and turn the car off when you're done! I lost marks for not doing this. (i just put it in park, not really thinking).

And turn the wheel the correct way if it's on a hill6) At the end when you pull back into the testing facility you'll have to park next to another car (maybe 2) in the parking lot behind the building. Final testOtherwise, it's alot like the G2 test, just longer + highway testing. Don't be too worried!
