I bought it as just a frame/fork set and built up. Here it is in the museum:i have the same RA frame with the proline-II decals. I'm not sure if some dealers were pulling the Carrera PL-20 decals off to sell as proline-II's in the US after stripping the completes. The frame tube decal would be a 1 piece wrap around.my original proline-II was purchased in 1982 here in Australia. It was a 1981 US built frame set with consecutive number serial with tig welded rear drops.

I have two (supposedly last year Aussie) 300 series that makes them the 18th anniversary edition. With stickers down near the crank reading 1972-1990. Anyway the serial numbers read RLw0807458 and the second reads RLw909220878. My dilemma is that although I know that the bikes were purchased at the same time, same place. Some of the stickers have been removed from one of the bikes, and it also had to be sent back to the factory for a fix because of a cracked head tube. But I'm wondering why there are an extra two digits on the serial number itself.

And is anyone out there opposed to my theory that these are both last year Aussie 300's? Any help would be huge.
